Hillary Should NOT drop out!

I’ll start by noting I do not watch political debates this early in the season.  It’s much more time effective to read the reports the next day to see who won, lost and if any big moments occurred.  Also, my trivia team was competing Tuesday night, winning first place and a $50 gift certificate at the Dugout Bar and Grill in Farmington!

Still, reading the debate reports this morning it appears that Hillary hit a home run.  Bernie Sanders aided her by scoffing at the GOP fetish with her e-mails, and overall compared to the tone of the Republican debates this seemed — at least according to reports across various news sources — civil, friendly and substantive.

In other words, yesterdays’ blog post is now obsolete and thus can be ignored!

A couple of comments, Professor Erb: First, reading about this debate would have been misleading in that while the pundits almost unanimously declared Clinton the winner, all the post debate polls, self-selecting and legitimate, had Sanders as the winner by margins of 20 points or more.
Second, Clinton has caught a second, possibly even bigger break on the email non-story when Elijah Cummings (D-Maryland), the ranking member of the eGhazi committee, openly accused Rep. Trey Gowdy, the Chairman of the Committee, of placing redactions on some emails and then falsely claiming that they were CIA redactions of secret material. When the CIA came out and stated they had made no such redactions, Gowdy was forced to admit that he had made them himself in hopes of making it look like Clinton was posting classified material on the private server.
There’s a second element to the email story not directly related to your discussion of the debates and the Democratic primaries; the emails DO reveal, through correspondence with Colin Powell, that George W. Bush and Tony Blair agreed to fabricate a case for war against Iraq a full year before the invasion.

The fact that Hillary is using part of the debate to label Sanders a sexist more than shows she should take the door.
